AI Safety Summit

Elon Musk and Rishi Sunak talk code of conduct at Bletchley Park AI Safety Summit

Today, the AI Safety Summit is taking place at Bletchley Park, just down the road from our HQ in Milton Keynes. Hosted by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the summit brings together 100 representatives from the worlds of business and politics to explore the potential and challenges of artificial intelligence.

The main objective is to devise a set of global principles for the development and deployment of “frontier AI models,” a term embraced by Sunak and key figures in the AI industry to describe powerful models that are not yet in existence but could be built in the near future.

Apart from the central event at Bletchley Park, there is a broader week of fringe events happening in the UK, and the UK government is set to make significant announcements related to AI. These developments are designed to address the ever-evolving landscape of AI and establish ethical guidelines for this transformative technology. There are plenty more insights released from The Guardian.

We’re thrilled that these vital discussions and decisions from the AI Safety Summit are happening just down the road from us, and we are looking forward to hearing more on the topic.
