Nexus Studios Delivers AR Experiences to NFL Fans
NFL fans were greeted with a unique experience of seeing their heroes as a giant holograms integrated into the architecture of the stadium. The hologram is streamed to the phone via 5G network and as result it can produce high resolution, photo realistic AR experiences.
The mapping process involves creating a digital copy of the stadium and then using Visual Positioning Engine to locate each device. Nexus Studios believes this technology will become the blueprint for other venues who wish to implement 5G and AR to deliver additional live experience.
Soon we could be seeing these sort of experiences in big cities and utilised as a new form of marketing. Imagine walking down time square and your phone or AR headset will transport you into another realm full of holographic experiences, even Marty McFly will be impressed by this.
